"Working with Gary and CHOPS was a true pleasure. Having explored numerous methods of creating an interactive Avatar for a convention we were producing, we decided CHOPS offered the best solution. We were right.
Gary was responsive to all of our requests, including several unexpected changes the client desired. Onsite, he proved to be a real asset--efficient, reliable and a team player. The avatar was a huge hit. The ability to have the avatar interact off-the-cuff with the presenters and the audience made a great impact. We are now including CHOPS in all our proposals."

Nancy Racette, Senior Director - Office of Events Management
"The introduction of a virtual reality character to this year's convention added a new and different touch. I appreciate your willingness to operate Major Donor and be the voice behind the image. In an effort to spark some creative thinking regarding the future of fund-raising, Major Donor and the dream sequence actors were creative, futuristic additions to our program. I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to ad lib some of the script and include a bit of your own personality. The on-stage interaction with Major Donor held everyone's attention and was quite entertaining. This year's event would not have been as innovative as it was without your assistance."
Tradeshow - American Soc. of Training & Development - DDI
Mike O'Connor - Business Development Manager
"Please know that all agreed that you were a terrific contribution to our conference in DC. Many attendees indicated that our booth was the best (and you were a big part of that) and that you (Dr. Dee) were the best part of the trade show. I agree!
A few comments come "top of mind":
- You were outstanding in your pre-conference preparation... you knew our company, products and services very well. You represented our company as professional and knowledgeable. All of us were surprised that you had so much to say (accurately) about our company.
- You had an uncanny way of knowing a little something about everything, to facilitate meaningful conversation with all attendees. You knew little facts about different places (as when an attendee indicated they were from a particular state or country), current events, even speaking to people in different languages.
- You were most helpful in screening and qualifying attendees. You quickly determined if they were serious (and introduced them to one of us) or just looking around (you simply invited them in the booth to look around). This helped the team focus on serious prospects, while making everybody feel welcome.
- You had unbelievable energy, working non-stop for several hours at a time, and keeping such a terrific momentum. Over 4 days, I never saw your energy lull.
- You were funny, maintained variety in your conversations, and yet stayed professional.
- You were very flexible, followed suit with the DDI team, honored unique requests, and demonstrated a "can-do" attitude all day, each day."

12 DAYS OF VIDEO AND WEBCASTING FOR THE DALAI LAMA
In July 2011, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama appeared for 12 days at the Verizon Center in Washington DC to conduct the Kalachakra ceremony to an audience of about 12,000 visitors from all over the world.
Each day, he would start early in the morning, chanting with his monks before conducting talks and lessons, performing Tibetan Buddhist rituals and welcoming dignitaries. Since the venue was so large, the professional video production company, AllPlanet Video, was called in to run both the image-magnification system and live streaming videos of the event, via the web, to those who were not able to attend.
Thousands of hits and views of the live video content were counted from all around the US and the world, as His Holiness attracted attention from Buddhists and non-Buddhists to this historic occasion. The Voice of America organization even helped get the webcast into China.
Gary Jesch was one of a 11-person team of video professionals on the crew which interacted with the Dalai Lama, his security staff, coordinators from the host-group Capitol City Tibetans and a staging organization. Several other freelancers shared duties on the lengthy project.
Led by Director Gabreal Franklin, the team took on several challenges, including shooting and recording the entire event (on both video and audio archives), translating the talks into Russian, Tibetan, Vietnamese, Chinese and English (as needed) simultaneously, live streaming the video feed from the control room to five or six sources at once, creating a time-lapse video of the creation and destruction of the Kalachakra Mandala, and sending live HD videos to two 20-ft. screens on the stage as well as to the Jumbotron hanging from the center of the arena.
During this time, Jesch assisted and performed several jobs daily, including preparing graphics and slides, streaming video for the live webcasts, working with the audio and camera crews, assisting with cameraman duties and working alongside Franklin who was calling the show.
Additionally, Gary and the team handled video duties on the Capitol's West Lawn during the Peace Rally, hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, with a talk by His Holiness. Jesch had found a way, using the Live U cellphone bonding backpack, to webcast this event from the outdoor location.
Prior to the actual Kalachakra event, CHOPS Webcasting put together a pair of webcasts featuring videos of His Holiness and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Robert Thurman and others involved with the event.
